Bear Lake is higher (9,450 feet) and the thin air made even the mostly flat walk something of a challenge for sea level folks. I read that the lake was formed during an ice age by a glacier.
It is a beautiful place but there were only a few others there on that fine evening when we visited.
We were a little surprised to find patches of snow beside the trail that encircles this lake.

The S of SNB is a kindergarten teacher in a public school in Tallahassee, Florida. Her better half is B. He is self-employed as a lawnscaper. They have two fine adult sons --and an amazing daughter-by-marriage. They are the grandparents of one delightful little boy and his sweet, infant sister!

Most anytime we were at the really higher altitudes, it was cooler, but we were never cold.
