Mule Deer in RMNP

On our evening drive to Bear Lake, we saw these mule deer grazing  by the side of the road. Their size and their racks are impressive. Our Florida white tails are much smaller.

The following morning, we stopped to watch these. There were about five together. A couple told us they are elk, but I am pretty sure they are also mule deer.

Later that day, we saw other individuals.
