This large chunk of rock was on the lip of one of the dry sinkholes we passed on our hike on Sunday. Rocks of this size are not real common in Florida. We assume it is limestone, Florida's rock of choice. A sign pointed out that the relative smoothness of the rock had been shaped by water. It was thought that this had happened when it was still beneath the earth's surface.
