Sun Rise and Moon Rise at St. Joseph's Peninsula

The cabin we stayed in at St. Joseph's Peninsula looked out over the bay and we enjoyed some amazing skies and reflections on the water. The first morning, was when it was so calm and I took the great blue heron pictures at dawn. This is looking straight out from the cabin.

It can be tricky to find the horizon.

Here is another shot, looking down the shoreline.

The second morning was breezy, but still very colorful.

And check out the "burning bush" effect below!

Our second night, the full moon began to rise over the bay as we were eating our dinner on the screened porch.

I did not make it over to the west side to see sunsets, as it would have involved a drive and a hike, but I was more than content with the beauty we witnessed.
