St. Joseph's Peninsula

Here are some of the interesting things we saw on our long weekend to St. Joseph's Peninsula.

We had seen another bear sign recently that had been altered to look like a rhino. This sign had the baby tagging along behind.

This fellow stands outside a shop in the fishing village of Apalachicola.  I assume it is a carved and painted cypress knee. What you cannot really see in the picture is that the eyes have lightbulbs burning in them. Odd.

This is the beach cabin in the state park where we spent two nights. I was standing on the beach of the bay when I took this picture. It is a good value with a lovely view.

On the Gulf side of the peninsula, someone had made a tall sculpture. We think they were aiming for a seashell sundial, but we could not get it to match up with our watches.
