Last Saturday was National Trail Hiking Day and we went out with a friend and observed it by---what else?--- taking a hike. It turned out to be an unseasonably pleasant temperature for June and we had a nice hour-plus walk through the woods.
We came upon a beautiful, no, stunningly beautiful, damselfly and I tried (and tried AND TRIED) to get some good shots of it. My new camera was determined to focus on everything by the damselfly. Each picture more awful than the previous. This was the best of the bunch and certainly does not do it's iridescent colors justice. The tail was actually emerald green in the sun.
