Thanksgiving Turkeys!

When many were up going to Black Friday sales, our family was on our way to a cabin in north Georgia. We had three nights there with our grown "kids." It was wonderful!

It was pretty gloomy out...

But cozy inside.

On Saturday morning, there were rustling sounds in the leaves below us and we hoped for the bear that we had seen in photographs.

After quite a while of searching, the noise-makers became visible.

They worked their way around the property and finally on the other side, where it appears that someone feeds them.

Eventually, we were able to count nine. They were very large and very beautiful.

On Sunday, we saw more at another place where we went to hike. These were on the run, in the drizzling rain.

I think wild turkeys are a feast for the eyes as well as the belly!
