When B was done tilling, we made a middle walkway and planted 11 tomato plants….
and 9 sweet potato plants. Trust me. They are there!
The following day, we took leaf- and- shredded wood-mulch out and put around the newly planted babies.
We had noticed the neighbor gardeners had mulched with hay. I tried that once in an effort to recycle a scarecrow at school and liked to have never gotten the bahia out after it sprouted. So, hay! I didn’t like that very mulch!
Taters and maters make a good start.
