I mentioned a while back that our deck was showing signs of age. It is a relatively small deck that was here when we bought the house. Because the mosquitoes are often bad, it really has not seen a lot of use other than a place to put plants.
We spent a weekend removing the plants growing around the deck and washing the vinyl.
Last week, B began the task of removing the old deck. Here goes the first board.
Then he used the Saws-All to cut the railing from the decking.
Then he started on the deck boards with the hammer and crowbar and cat’s claw.
And then it got dark.
And then it rained for two days.
And then our son came home and was “hired” on as a co-worker.
Those pictures will follow.
