Franklin D.Roosevelt State Park

B and I celebrated our 39th anniversary recently with a quick weekend trip to Callaway Gardens in the mountains of western Georgia. We slept in a cabin in nearby Roosevelt State Park.

Our cabin was originally built by the CCCs during the Great Depression. It was recently remodeled and was well done. The charm remains while becoming more comfortable. I can hardly wait to go back.

Thank you for all the traveling in the southeast--things I always planned to do. Unfortunately after FSU, and didn't do half of what I wanted to. Of course, I grew up going to St. Marks, St. Andrews (where I was born), Junior Museum, St. George and many other places. But please know what pleasure you give me by your blog entries!
