Bloggin' Loggerheads

There are currently two loggerhead sea turtles on display at the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab. One is a small one:

It was a charmer!

The second one was a 300-pound, blue crab-crushing monster of the deep--with a pretty pattern.

A volunteer was dropping live blue crabs--good-sized ones-- into the tank for lunch and the turtle's jaws dispatched them whole, save a claw or two which were enjoyed later.
