Bear Lake is higher (9,450 feet) and the thin air made even the mostly flat walk something of a challenge for sea level folks. I read that the lake was formed during an ice age by a glacier.
It is a beautiful place but there were only a few others there on that fine evening when we visited.
We were a little surprised to find patches of snow beside the trail that encircles this lake.
I t sure looks like it was cooler than the Florida weather.
ReplyDeleteMost anytime we were at the really higher altitudes, it was cooler, but we were never cold.
